A neurosurgery clinic in Hyogo prefecture. The site is flanked by a parking lot and park, situated in a residential area with houses and low-rise apartments. The building was envisioned as an accent piece for this open space. The white volume and its large roof calls the attention of children playing in the park and elderly people taking walks, and inside is a light and open waiting room. The serial louvers of the windows allow inhabitants to perceive the outside while offering a warmth and protection. We strove for a clinic that offers locals a secure yet open space.
